The Young Money rap diva responded to Kendrick Lamar’s controversial verse on Big Sean’s “Control” single during her well received performances at Saturday night’s Power 105.1 Powerhouse concert.

This is what Nicki Minaj told Charlamagne:

“I’m the queen of New York. I’m the king of New York,” Nicki Minaj said. “Let me tell you why. Platinum albums. Albums plural. Number one in five motherfu–ing countries, ni–a. Don’t play with me. You better respect my motherfu–ing gangsta, bi–h. When you got an album that goes number one in Japan, the UK, Australia, America and Canada at the same motherfu–ing time, then you can speak my motherfu–ing name.”

Nicki Minaj later tweeted that she was just having fun and she thinks Jay-Z is the king of New York.
