Jaywon Performs For The First Time In His Hometown

No matter how successful we become, we must never forget our root. Root here represents either the people who were there when there was nothing or it could be the area you grew up. Either ways the proper thing is to always be loyal to your root.

Singer Jaywon was in Kogi State for the coronation of the new king of Egbe town. The singer who just returned from Ogbomosho, where he went to support Abolore Akande (9ice) was specially invited by Senator Smart Adeyemi, who also hosted guests after the coronation ceremony. The event took place on Sunday, October 12 and was described as ‘home coming’ for several indigenes of the State.

Jaywon performed some of his hit songs, including “This Year” and “Madantin”. The singer also got the privilege to entertain the deputy governor of the State, Architect Yomi Awoniyi, and other influential people like Otunba Jide Omokore, General Jembewon, and Honourable Karimi.

In a chat Entertainment Rave, Jaywon revealed that it’s the first time he is performing to a crowd in his hometown. In his word, “It feels good to be home, entertaining and relating with my people. I had a good time, and I’m grateful to senator Smart Adeyemi for giving me the privilege to be a part of such an elaborate event.”
