Jennifer Lawrence, Justin Bieber, and Kim KardashianIt's the time of year for determining just how 2015 will be different than 2014. In the spirit of tradition, here are suggested resolutions for some of the year's top headline-making celebrities. Jennifer LawrenceJennifer Lawrence: I will not fall at the Oscars. The Hunger Games star famously fell while rushing up the steps to the stage top accept Best Actress honors at the 2013 Oscars. Then she fell again at the 2014 ceremony, this time just as she stepped onto the red carpet. Whoops! As much as the first fall was endearing, a third fall would be incredibly awkward, to say the least. Might we suggest that she wear a shorter heel or even flats under her floor-length gown to 2015's awards? With movies such as The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 and the upcoming David O. Russell drama Joy on her resumé, we're sure she's going to be invited back again and again.
Justin BieberJustin Bieber: I will be a better neighbor. Even Beleibers would've had a tough time putting up with the star's antics in 2014. After getting into arguments with his neighbors over he and his friends' driving habits in 2013, Bieber kicked off 2014 by throwing eggs at the house of a neighborin his exclusive Calabasas, California, neighborhood. (He pleaded guilty to a charge of misdemeanor vandalism in July.) When he left that house and moved into a rented luxury apartment in Beverly Hills, Bieber immediately annoyed his neighbors there because of all the noise, marijuana smoke, and people at his regular parties. The crooner leased a larger, more out-of the-way home in the same posh area earlier this month, so he has a real chance to start over. Not that we think anything will be different in 2015.
Selena GomezSelena Gomez: I will not get back together with Justin Bieber. Gomez herself noted in the Bieber-inspired song, "The Heart Wants What It Wants," that "There's a million reasons why I should give you up." Despite that knowledge, the singer found herself breaking up and reuniting with Bieber, who she began dating in 2010, several times in the last year. We're skeptical that she would actually stick with this one, but why not give it a try? Gomez returned to Bieber in the past even after her close friend Taylor Swift reportedly gave him a thumbs down and he had repeated run-ins with the law. She could finally be ready to say goodbye... then again, maybe not.Kim KardashianKim Kardashian: I will stop forcing everyone to look at my hot bod.Seriously, Kardashian is so obsessed with how she looks that she's evencropped her own baby girl out of her selfies! She posts more than five times a day, whether she's headed to a big event (such as her lavish Italian wedding in May) or a family outing (such as Disney on Ice with daughter North West), and especially when she's wearing bikinis or, you know, nothing at all. Many of these photos guarantee a headline about her post, which means more Kim Kardashian all the time. Sometimes, we need a little bit of a break from the reality star.Robin ThickeRobin Thicke: I will stop embarrassing my ex-wife. Robin Thicke's infamous performance of "Blurred Lines" alongside a twerking Miley Cyrus at the 2013 MTV VMAs was the beginning of the end for Thicke and his actress wife, Paula Patton. After rampant rumors he had cheated, the former high school sweethearts separated in February. He proceeded to publicly call for her to take him back to anyone who would listen, although not many people did. His album Paula, featuring the lead single, "Get Her Back," bombed when it was released in July. He's reportedly moved on now, dating much younger model, April Love Geary, and Patton filed for divorce in October. Still, Thicke will have to keep it together for a lot longer; he and Patton are parents to 4-year-old son Julian.Mariah CareyMariah Carey: I will be on time. Carey has long been known for her diva behavior, such as showing up late for events. But it really hurt her in December, when she showed up hours late to tape her performance for theChristmas in Rockefeller Center taping in New York. She was forced to perform her hit, "All I Want for Christmas Is You," live on the show, and the results were not pretty. She was attacked on social media for her cracking voice and her failure to hit some of the high notes. Critics called it "a disaster" and "disappointing." TMZ reported that the songstress missed the taping because she was talking to divorce lawyers about her split with Nick Cannon, and Carey later apologized for a situation she described as "beyond my control." Whatever the reason, it won't do anything but endear Carey to her fans if she becomes more prompt.Miley CyrusMiley Cyrus: I will step away from my camera phone. The "Wrecking Ball" singer posts roughly 10 photos a day, most of which are truly bizarre (i.e. Miley as the baby on Nirvana's Nevermind album licking a piece of pizza or Miley as a monkey reaching for bananas). Most are also really bright and some are just gross. She does know there's no minimum requirement of photos that must be shared each day, right?
