Troops in Borno State have recovered Pulka community in the state from Boko Haram.

The town, a major one in the state, was recaptured by soldiers on Saturday, March 21, according to military sources.

In announcing the development, the Director of Defence Information, Chris Olukolade said that the town was a major supply route into the country, used by the terrorists to the Mandara Mountains and Cameroon.

Olukolade also said that the military had begun a cordon and search operation in the community to completely rid it of terrorists.

Meanwhile, Boko Haram insurgents have reportedly abducted 506 people from Damasak in Borno, a town which was recently recovered from the terrorists.
