Three days to Nigeria’s 2015 presidential election, a group of Nigerians based in Gabon, Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation (NIDO), yesterday in Calabar, expressed its readiness to support President Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election bid.

Accordingly, the group, through its president, Mr John Ilekuba, appealed to all well-meaning Nigerians to turn out en masse on Saturday to vote the president in order to sustain his administration’s achievements.

Ilekuba, who noted that Jonathan’s second term aspiration was God’s design intended to strengthen Nigeria’s unity, disclosed that his group visited Nigeria in solidarity with the ruling party.

He said,

“The entire people of Nigeria resident in Gabon have thrown their support behind President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for his second term bid. “Who the country needs now is somebody who can build a bridge and give all segments a sense of belonging rather than somebody who would take us back to old politics of North and South”
