Model, Actor, TV Presenter and Reality TV star, Events Coordinator and Producer

Born to Nigerian father and South American, French and African mother, Destiny Amaka first captured the public’s eyes at the tender age of 13 with a BAFTA nomination for a teen documentary on human rights issues, in which she travelled to Mali, France and the United Kingdom. The documentary was produced by ITV and Channel 4 in the UK. This opened up doors for more work presenting shows on Nickelodeon covering news week, Trouble TV on the hit show “Talk to the hand”, “wise up” for Channel 4 and slowly progressed into acting, singing and several plus size catalogue, magazine, beauty and cat walk modelling. As an infant, her mother often complained that Destiny had too much creative energy, always

dancing, singing and jumping off the wall, and so she felt these skills could be better developed and enrolled her into the Central School of Ballet in Farringdon were she learnt, classical, Ballet, Jazz and contemporary dance. Following this she soon joined the prestige Sylvia young theatre school part time in West London and expanded on her confidence both on stage with theatrical acting and singing but also on the screen with extra roles in hit sitcoms like “Grange Hill”, “The Bill”, “Biker Grove” and by 2007 She made her first debut on the big screen with a supporting role in “Disoriented Generation” alongside Wil Johnson.

In 1994 Destiny Amaka attempted a singing carrier forming a group with her best friends called Creation. After performing at a concert at the Hypedrom in London, she met JJC who introduced her to the Nigerian music scene, singing back up for him and his group- the 419 squad, D’ Banj, Kween and Don Jazzy.

With all her experience in front of the screen, it was no surprise developing a passion for Event and TV production and creativity came easy. She was involved in the film production of Christian Ashekwu’s Amina, starring Omotola andoke Ruke Amata’s The Past came calling and a decade later she and JJC joined forces again as she managed his production company BigBoyz entertainment.

Most recent work:- she last did a reality show in the UK for sky living TV called Bigger than Beyonce, Moved to Nigeria and has hosted private shows with Basket mouth, stared in few Ruke Sanders film productions, the sitcome Spider, made a cameo appearance in Endia 48 music video, and is currently working as part of the production team for the first ever African Global DJ awards to be held in Johannesburg July 2013.

The feature:- working on her first solo Album, will continue to look for challenging movie roles, with her production team “AMAKISSKISS PRODUCTIONS” she aims to be more involved behind the scene with TV film and live productions with hopefully a talk show by the New Year 2014. Whatever it is she’ll be having fun doing it, and hopefully inspiring others to live their dreams breaking barriers fears and limitations.
