PDP Not Planning To Impeach Gov Nyako – Adamawa PDP Chair

The Adamawa State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Joel Hammajoda Madaki, has denied the alleged plot to impeach the state governor Murtala Nyako. A statement signed by the chairman and made available to LEADERSHIP in Yola said there was no plan by the PDP-controlled State House of Assembly to impeach Nyako. “The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has no plan to impeach anybody as alleged”, Madaki said. He added that the purported plan to impeach Nyako as reported in media was not true, saying the APC-led government of the state should be blamed for the myriad of problems bedevilling it. He listed some of the problems bedevilling the APC-led government to include lack of developmental strides and the unjustified defection of the governor to APC. Madaki commended the state House of Assembly for resolving to remain in PDP rather than following Nyako to APC. He also lauded the recent defection of the only three APC members in the House to PDP and assured them of equal treatment. On the alleged division among PDP stakeholders in Adamawa, Madaki said the allegation was false and that the party was united and focused towards winning 2015 general elections at all levels in the state.
