Jose Mourinho has blamed the referee Phil Dowd of being slow and being 40 yards away from a key incident and cited his performance as the deciding factor for his side's loss. He however has not mentioned which key incident he was referring to while describing the referee's performance as not clean.
At the Barclays Premier League, Chelsea find themselves in a critical situation with the loss against Tottenham Hotspur. Not only are Manchester City level with them on points after defeating Sunderland but also their goal differences are exactly same at 25. Having started the season with a bang they now find themselves stuttering while their rivals have caught up with them.
Didier Drogba is all set to quit top level club football at the end of the season and start his coaching career under the watchful eyes of his mentor Jose Mourinho. Didier Drogba was the main striker for Chelsea for about a decade and now that position has been taken over by Diego Costa.
He is not even a long term second choice as the much younger Loic Remy has taken that place himself. With the imminent arrival of the Croatian striker Andrej Kramaric, Drogba's position at the first team will become more or less redundant. Also one must keep in mind that at the end of the season he will be 37 years old, an age where strikers should not be able to perform at the highest level.
At Chelsea Drogba enjoys cult status after winning the Barclays Premier League three times, the FA Cup four times and the UEFA Champions League one time. Other trophies won at Chelsea are the Football League Cup and the FA Community Shield twice each. While at Galatasaray he won the Turkish League, Turkish Cup as well as the Turkish Super Cup.
