The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has congratulated General Muhammadu Buhari on his emergence as the President-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, warning politicians against disrupting the peace in the country.
This was contained in a press statement signed by its president, Comrade Francis Johnson on Wednesday. According to him, we heartily congratulate and appreciate the exemplary display of sportsmanship by the incumbent President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan GCFR.
This singular action has doused the tension surrounding the outcome of the just concluded election.
The association commended all Nigerians for their peaceful conduct and patience at ensuring that they cast their votes for their choice candidate and encourage them to also remain peaceful during the coming gubernatorial and Houses of Assembly elections for the continued existence of Nigeria.
The association also enjoined Nigerians to allow peace to reign all over the country, saying the peace atmosphere must not be disrupted by any party or individual.
He also lauded the Professor Attahiru Jega-led INEC for its unwavering determination of ensuring that the Presidential election was free, fair and credible despite the few challenges encountered during the election.
Comrade Johnson called on INEC to address all challenges encountered during the presidential election to deliver a hitch free election during the Saturday gubernatorial election.
